How to run a Secret Santa

How does this Secret Santa generator keep the draw secret?

Each person's match is packed into their own link, after the # sign. That part of a link is never sent to a server, so the draw is not stored anywhere online. Each person only sees their own match, as long as nobody opens someone else's link.

Can the organizer join in too?

Yes. Add your own name, draw, and send everyone their link, including yourself. Just don't press 'show who has who' if you want to keep your own surprise.

How do I stop couples drawing each other?

Add them to the 'can't draw each other' box, one pair per line, like 'Alex & Sam'. The draw will never match them in either direction.

What's a good Secret Santa budget?
