How to play Would You Rather

  1. Get a group together. It works with two people or twenty.
  2. One person reads a question out loud, from the generator or the list.
  3. Everyone picks one option. You have to pick; 'neither' is not allowed.
  4. Each player explains their choice in a sentence. The explanations are the best part.

Questions people ask

What is a good would you rather question?

A good one has two options that are close in appeal, so people actually have to think. 'Would you rather have more time or more money?' works because most people want both. If everyone answers the same way, the question is too easy.

Are these questions appropriate for kids?

The 'For kids' category is written for young children and every question in it is clean. The rest of the list is family friendly too, but a few in the Hard and Deep categories touch on topics like death that you may want to skip with little ones.

Can I play Would You Rather over text or on Zoom?

Yes. Draw a question here, press Copy, and paste it into the chat. On a video call, share your screen with this page and let people answer in turn.

How do you win Would You Rather?

Usually nobody wins. If you want a score, have everyone vote and give a point to each player in the majority, or to each player in the minority if you want to reward the odd ones out.
